DHI technique is a method that has recently received very successful results and has become widespread. In this case, what should be done is to transplant with the right planning and technique in accordance with the facial contours. For beard transplantation, the follicles are taken from the hairy area, that is, from the donor area. The hair follicles taken are exactly compatible with the beard. With the DHI method, transplantation is performed at an angle suitable for your beard directions and at the planned frequency. An average of 1000 -2000 grafts are needed for beard thickening operation. For completely empty cheeks and moustache etc. an average of 2500-3500 grafts will be required. Since only the donor area will be shaved, there is no need for complete hair shaving. Frequent and natural results can be obtained with the DHI method. The recovery period is completed within 10 days.

Similar conditions apply to eyebrow transplantation. Eyebrow transplantation is the replanting and redesigning of eyebrows that fall out over time or that are absent or very sparse with hair follicles taken from the donor area. Since the hair will not be completely shaved, the return to social life is fast. After the donor area is transplanted, it can be camouflaged with hair and there is no image that may disturb you. After the crusts are shed at the end of the 10th day, you can continue your normal life.

Hair Transplantation Process

After consultation, if there is no obstacle to the procedure, first anamnesis is taken, hair loss type and shape are determined, the area to be transplanted is planned together with the patient, in this process, blood test results are waited, then the patient is shaved, donor area or complete shaving is done.

– Blood pressure, sugar, etc. vital signs are checked.
– Monitor follow-up is performed during the operation.
– Pre-anaesthesia is performed with a painless anaesthesia device and after the area is slightly numb, local anaesthesia is performed and the area is made ready for harvesting.
– Hair follicles are taken one by one in a homogeneous way, then counted and collected.
– The process takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
– The hair follicles are kept in cold chain in special liquids used in organ implantation.
– The patient is given a meal break and rested.
– Local anaesthesia is administered for the front line and vertex area and lasts for a few minutes and then no pain is felt during the procedure.
– The transplantation is completed between 3 and 5 hours depending on the average number of hair follicles taken.
– A new dressing is applied and the patient is discharged.

Medicine Use Washing and Maintenance

– The first washing should be done in the clinic and the patient should be informed by explaining.

– Contact with the transplanted area and scratching should be avoided, lotion should be applied to the transplantation and donor area every day until the crusts fall off and left for 20 minutes, then rinsed and cleaned with water that is not too hot or cold and not pressurised.

– Shampoo should be foamed by hand and applied to the transplantation area in the form of touch and pull, the hair should not be pressed too much, the donor area can be shampooed and washed with circular movements.

– From the 8th day onwards, washing can be done by touching a little more and can be washed in the morning and evening. On the 11th day, the lotion is left for 20 minutes to shed the crust, then it is applied again and waited for another 20 minutes, the well-softened crusts are cleaned by applying pressure in the direction of the hair and cleaned from dead tissue.

– It should be done for new hair to grow, and the remaining odd places can be shed in the next
washings without clawing.

– After these steps are completed, the routine hair washing cycle can be continued
From the 1st month onwards, the transplantation area can be massaged circularly.

Post Operation Process

For a fast recovery after the operation, it is important to follow the recommendations of your
specialist for a healthy completion of the process. Shock shedding occurs between 15 and 30 days after transplantation. This is a natural result of the procedure. During the shock shedding process, the hair enters the sleep phase.

After this loss, the hair begins to grow approximately 1 month later. Between 1 and 3 months the hair grows. In this process, although not all hair grows at the same rate, they all grow. You can observe that the first growing hair is thin. However, it is observed that the hair strands start to thicken from the 3rd month. The growth and thickening of the hair depends on the physiological structure of the patient. In the time period between 6 and 10 months after hair transplantation, the transplanted hair grows and thickens and gains volume. At the end of 1 year, the process is completed.
